On 19th September 2023, Fundasaun Mahein (FM) held the first meeting of its reconstituted Board. This meeting marks a key milestone in the ongoing process of institutional reform at FM, which aims to strengthen our organisation’s internal management and systems, thereby improving FM’s overall effectiveness and enabling us to fulfil our mission.
Along with FM’s Executive Director and several staff members, in attendance at the meeting were the members of the new Board, namely: Sr. Fidelis Magalhães, Sr. João Sarmento, Sra. Florida Marques, and Sr. Fransisco da Silva Gary.
The Board discussed several important items, including nominating the Board President and Treasurer, the roles and responsibilities of the Board, and FM’s Strategic Plan for 2024-2026. The date for the next Board meeting was set for 6 months from now.
